Chicago Bears Football-  The Chicago Bears recently released wide receiver Earl Bennett due to contract issues. He is not the first veteran to be released by the Bears during free agency. As with all of the other spots on the roster, the Chicago offense will try and fill that hole.

2014 Free Agency Tracker

Several players have been signed and several wide receivers were already on the roster to take the place on what is fast becoming one of the best offenses in the NFL. Who will be the Chicago Bears number 3 receiver?

Domenik Hixon

Domenik Hixon was signed by the Chicago Bears during free agency. Prior to Chicago he played for the Denver Broncos where he returned kicks and punts. He then moved to the New York Giants where he caught 7 touchdowns and over 1,400 yards. With the speed to return kicks and years of experience he may make very good competition for the number three spot. It is more likely, however, that he will be returning punts primarily.
