In Case You Forgot, Justin Verlander Wears No. 35 In Honor Of Frank Thomas

The White Sox can enjoy a sliver of boastful reverence this postseason. Houston Astros ace Justin Verlander wears No. 35 because the Big Hurt was one of his favorite players growing up. Verlander spoke at length back in 2014 before Thomas was inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame about how he came to love the Big Hurt and striking him out on a 103 mph fastball.

On April 27, 2000, José Valentin hit for the cycle, the fifth in White Sox franchise history. #HispanicHeritageMonth
