Devin Hester Absolutely Roasted Julian Edelman on Instagram

-

Julian Edelman is the talk of the NFL world these days for two reasons. He’s now the reigning Super Bowl MVP after posting 141 yards against the Rams and he is also a topic of fierce discussion on Twitter. This involving whether or not he’s going into the Hall of Fame one day. Plenty of people, most likely Patriots fans believe that’s going to happen.

Others state it’s ridiculous. If Wes Welker doesn’t get into the Hall of Fame, and there’s a chance he might not, then how in the world does Edelman belong? Still, this hasn’t stopped people from getting an early start on laying the foundation for his Canton pitch. One appeared on Instagram, celebrating his rise from an unlikely JUCO transfer and 7th round pick to playoff hero.

One player who wasn’t overly impressed was former Chicago Bears return phenom Devin Hester. He congratulated Edelman on his accomplishment, but not before reminding everybody that the supposed future Hall of Famer was literally caught cheating.

It’s so easy to forget because it happened last June, but Edelman was suspended the first four games of 2018 due to a failed test for performance-enhancing drugs. What’s even more indicative of his likely guilt is that his appeal of the suspension was denied by the NFL. It wasn’t even reduced. That makes one wonder what the test results actually were.

If nothing else, it’s proof again that the moniker “cheaters never prosper” is the biggest falsehood in existence when it comes to the NFL. The Patriots organization and its players have been caught cheating several times over the years and that hasn’t stopped them from winning six Super Bowls anyway.

Edelman is a documented cheater but they aren’t going to take that MVP award from him. It makes one appreciate those like Hester who were great simply because they were that damn good.
