State Farm has brought us some solid commercials over the past few years, many of which have involved the quarterback we all love to hate, Aaron Rodgers. The ‘Discount Double-Check‘  as well as the B.J. Raji and Clay Matthews versions of the commercial all were enormous successes.

Now, the new Aaron Rodgers State Farm commercial features some of Chi Town’s finest, Da Bears.

Adweek gives us a breakdown of the commercial:

Rodgers, the star quarterback of the Green Bay Packers, finds himself awkwardly seated between “Bob” and “Carl,” two characters from Saturday Night Live’s “Da Bears” sketches from the 1990s. Reprising those respective roles are actor George Wendt and satirist Robert Smigel, right down to the fake mustaches, “Chee-cah-go” accents and fan apparel.

Mock It!

Short and sweet, I think they have another winner here. State Farm has done a great job of keeping the commercials fresh and incorporating one of the NFL’s oldest rivals is a great idea, you must admit.  Wonder if this will be a series of commercials featuring other scenarios of Rodgers and Da Bears fans or if it is a one and done!?
