Chicago Bears Players Support American Red Cross in Coal City, IL Follow @SportsMockery Prev postNext post CHICAGO BEARS FOOTBALL – In an effort to help the families and countless victims effected by Sunday’s storm a few Chicago Bears players are scheduled to support the American Red Cross tornado relief efforts in Coal City, IL on Tuesday, November 19 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Robbie Gould, Zack Bowman, Blake Costanzo and Sherrick McManis will join fellow Bears alum Anthony Adams and Rashied Davis. The players will arrive at the United Methodist Church (6805 E. McArdle Road) in Coal City at 11:00 a.m. and will help serve meals and distribute supplies from an American Red Cross Emergency Response Vehicle from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00pm. The American Red Cross is accepting monetary donations. Click here to donate, or call 1-800-RED-CROSS. The Red Cross mobilized to provide shelter, food and mental health support to those affected by yesterday’s widespread tornados and destructive storms throughout our region and beyond. Red Cross volunteers, partners and staff are quickly assessing the needs and providing necessary assistance. This includes operating shelters for displaced individuals and families and providing food, emergency supplies and mental health services. VOLUNTEER If you are interested in volunteering the Coal City Methodist Church was looking for volunteers to serve food and drinks to the workers helping with the clean-up from tornado. The church also requested donations of cleaning supplies including bleach, gloves, buckets, sponges, garbage bags, mops, towels and other supplies. Those interested in assisting the tornado victims can go to the before mentioned Methodist Church, 6805 E. McArdle Road. ALL PROFITS DONATED TO THE FAMILIES WHOSE HOMES WERE DESTROYED DURING THE TORNADOES.
