After a Horrific Murder Spree, Jay Cutler Nabbed His Chicken Killer

Jay Cutler has always been a bit of a country boy at heart. He’s from Santa Claus, Indiana and decided to settle in Tennessee after his playing days ended. Like anybody of that ilk, he decided to start his own little farm. Nothing outrageous. One thing he chose to include was a coop with his own array of chickens. What he affectionately calls his “ladies.”

Yet the former Chicago Bears quarterback encountered tragedy a few days ago when he found a number of chickens dead. He couldn’t figure out why so an investigation was hatched. One he took to Instagram in order to ask for help. Cutler pulled out all the stops too. He incorporated cameras, helpful neighbors, and even night-vision goggles.

For a time, none of it worked. All he got in terms of evidence was a grainy picture that could’ve been anything from a coyote to a possum. Thankfully the investigation finally turned a corner. Cutler discovered that the serial killer was in fact a raccoon and that measures were taken. His ladies are finally safe.

Jay Cutler can sleep easy now as can his growing fan base

This entire saga has turned Cutler into a sort of social media celebrity. In the absence of actual sports, people have looked for entertainment however they can get it. The quarterback always has a knack for being interesting in one way or another. This chicken homicide story is merely another example.

The best part though may be the comments he got after announcing his victory. Here’s one from old teammate Josh McCown.

“I envision you in the top of that stand during the storm challenging the raccoon as Lieutenant Dan challenged our Creator at the top of that boat in Forrest Gump. Hero does not do it justice. From Ole Blue, Merle and the rest of the crew. Thank you Jay.”

This battle is over. Others could still be on the horizon though. Other chicken predators exist out there. Cutler will have to stay vigilant.
