A couple weeks ago, the White Sox agreed to terms with free agent slugger Edwin Encarnacion. However, with the recent death of his father and it being the holiday season, he wasn’t able to take a physical and put pen to paper.
Well today, the White Sox finally made the signing official.
Really a perfect deal for the Sox. Plug him in at cleanup and let him mash. If he proves his value, bring him back in 2021.
This offseason, the White Sox have brought in 3 players who have made the postseason each of the last 5 seasons in Encarnacion, Yasmani Grandal, and Dallas Keuchel.
Let’s see if they can make it 6 in a row in 2020.
