Irish Finish 12th In AP Top 25

-

The Irish will go into the history books as the 12th best team in the 2019-20 season as the final AP Top 25 rankings were released following the conclusion of the National Championship game between LSU and Clemson.

While the year had many high points, the Irish fell short in key match ups against the now 4th ranked Georgia Bulldogs and 18th ranked Michigan Wolverines.

The lone team the Irish beat in the final top 25 was Navy with a 52-20 victory behind five touchdown passes from #12, Ian Book.

Brian Kelly’s Irish open up the 2020 season on Saturday, August 29, 2020 in Dublin, Ireland against the Navy Midshipmen.

But for now, we can at least turn the page on this season knowing that the Irish finished with a better record, and the highest ranking of each of our rivals.
