No big surprises for the White Sox, who tendered contracts to four arbitration eligible players before Monday night’s deadline. Meanwhile, Yolmer Sanchez, Ryan Burr and Caleb Frare are free agents, as they were all non-tendered. Right-handed pitcher Thyago Vieira was also released, as he’s headed to Japan.
So the White Sox will bring back Alex Colomé, Carlos Rodón, Evan Marshall and Leury García in 2020. They’ll either agree to a deal or go to arbitration to settle on a salary for next season.
Earlier today the White Sox also avoided arbitration with James McCann, agreeing to a one-year, $5.4 million deal.
Here are the projected salaries for the four remaining White Sox arbitration eligible players.
- Alex Colome – $10.3MM
- Leury Garcia – $4.0MM
- Carlos Rodon – $4.5MM
- Evan Marshall – $1.3MM
The White Sox 40-man roster is currently at 36.
