Two Keys For A Oakland Raiders Victory Over Tennessee Titans

-

On Sunday afternoon, the Oakland Raiders will take on the Tennessee Titans in Oakland. The Titans are 7-5 and the Raiders 6-6, so both teams need this game, especially the Raider. This will be a physical game with both teams loving to run the ball. here are keys to the games for the Raiders.

Slow Down The Titans Rushing Attack

Titans running back Derrick Henry comes into the game third in the NFL in rushing with 1,140 yards and 11 touchdowns. Henry is the main reason for the Titans turnaround this season, so slowing him down will be crucial. Look for the Raiders to load the box up to slow down Henry; he is a bigger back, so everybody must run to the football to get Henry down. Raiders must make Ryan Tannehill beat them, even though he has been playing well of late. Tannehill has been very decisive and accurate since taking over the starting job for the Titans. He has thrown 12 touchdowns and just four interceptions. Even with Tannehill playing well, the Raiders must make him beat them.

Carr Needs To Show up

The Raiders offense has struggled the last two weeks failing to score below 10 points in the previous two games. The Raiders Love to run the ball, so expect the Titans to key on Josh Jacobs and the Raiders rushing attack. Oakland’s receivers should have a lot of one on one matchups on the outside. But the thing is Raiders receivers have not done an excellent job creating separation all season. It is time for Carr to put some trust in his receivers and throw the ball down the field and make plays. The Raiders Receivers are big and can go up and get the ball. Tyrell Williams made a living of that with the Chargers. It is time to take shots down the field just to loosen up the defense, and if nobody is open, get out of the pocket and make plays with your legs. It is the fourth quarter of the season time to lay it all on the line for your team. But the receivers need to step as well big time.

Conclusion

We all know the Raiders like to run the ball, so that will be in the game plan, but i think the game will come down to whoever can slow down the rushing attack and which quarterback will play better. Hopefully, for the Raiders, it is Derek Carr.
