Latest Mitch Trubisky News Only Fuels Conspiracy Theories

-

The Chicago Bears came out of their loss in L.A. to the Rams with yet another string of questions surrounding quarterback Mitch Trubisky. This time they had to do with an unusual decision by head coach Matt Nagy. With three minutes left in the game and the Bears down 17-7, Trubisky was pulled in favor of backup Chase Daniel. Immediately there were questions of whether Trubisky had been benched. Nagy had finally reached his breaking point.

Then the Bears quickly released information that the quarterback was dealing with a hip injury. Yet the timing of it was confusing and thus a lot of people didn’t buy it. They thought the Bears used that report as a mere excuse to cover the fact that Nagy had benched their franchise “centerpiece” because he just wasn’t playing well enough. For his part, the head coach was adamant after the game and in his press conference the following Monday that the sole reason Trubisky was pulled was his health.

Video did show afterward that the QB was knee in the hip area during the first half and he seemed to favor it a little in the second. Trubisky himself said that area of his body just continued to tighten up more and more as he played. At last Nagy made the executive decision to shut him down and prevent further injury. That would’ve been enough to take until a few days later when Trubisky practice without restriction on Wednesday.

Almost as if the injury never existed.

Mitch Trubisky conspiracies ultimately change nothing

What makes this even stranger is that typical hip pointers require anywhere from two to four weeks for a full recovery. The fact that Trubisky was able to practice in full just three days after suffering this injury? It’s hard not to feel a little bit curious about its nature. Nevertheless, it doesn’t really change much. With or without him, the Bears offense remains a wreck. It’s not like he or Daniel playing was going to change that.

Still, this does make it a little bit harder to trust Nagy in regards to his thoughts on Trubisky in general. He continues to say that he has the utmost belief in the 25-year old. Yet this entire situation coming out of the Rams game casts a shred of doubt over that. Truth be told we may never learn the full story of what happened that night.
