Frank Menechino Is The New White Sox Hitting Coach

-

Frank Menechino has been hired as the new White Sox hitting coach, replacing Todd Steverson. Menechino, was the hitting coach with the Charlotte Knights at Triple-A in 2019, his first season with the White Sox organization.

He obviously has a connection to some of the young White Sox prospects, including Luis Robert and Nick Madrigal who are both expected to be up in April 2020.

Menechino, 48, played in the majors from 1999-2005 with the A’s and Blue Jays. He began his coaching career in the Yankees organization in 2009, first as a hitting coach at Double-A and then moving up to Triple-A in 2011. The Marlins hired Menechino to be their hitting coach after the 2013 season and he was in Miami until he was fired following the 2018 season.
