ESPN Forgot The White Sox Exist…Again

-

Last Thursday night, while I was recording the latest episode of the Pinwheels and Ivy Podcast (subscribe, rate, review) I looked at ESPN’s MLB stat leaders page to make sure I had Tim Anderson’s batting average right.

The White Sox shortstop took over the AL batting average lead earlier in September and he’s kept it ever since. However, you wouldn’t know if you checked ESPN. They didn’t have Anderson as the top hitter since Thursday night through Sunday night.

And you bet White Sox fans were going to call out ESPN.

Not only was Anderson missing from the batting leaders list, but ESPN didn’t have Yoan Moncada and Jose Abreu either.

And I have no clue what happened on Sunday, because when I checked last night ESPN had Jose Altuve as the top hitter in the AL. So, it looks like the White Sox broke ESPN, but don’t worry all is fixed.

Until the next time ESPN forgets the White Sox exist.
