White Sox Will Have Another Celebrity Announcer Against Angels

-

Last week the White Sox announced that Bill Walton was going to call Friday’s game against the Angels on NBC Sports Chicago, but he won’t be the only celebrity announcer to join Jason Benetti in the TV booth.

The Athletic’s Jon Greenberg reported over the weekend that Michael Schur will also join Benetti for Saturday’s game in Anaheim.

Via The Athletic.

The Athletic has learned one of them is Mike Schur, the famous TV writer (and Mose Schrute actor) from “The Office” and the co-creator of “Parks and Recreation” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” He is the executive producer and creator of the popular NBC show “The Good Place,” a show about morality and hell that should appeal to White Sox fans not-so-patiently waiting for another playoff appearance.

Oh and Schur was also a founder and wrote for firejoemorgan.com which was a sports journalism criticism blog, mainly focused on baseball.
