There’s going to be a time when we look back and say how silly it was that there were so many fans complaining about adding more netting at MLB ballparks. A few teams have already done it in 2019, and the Cubs appear to be in talks about having additional netting in Wrigley Field for the start of the 2020 season.

670 The Score’s Bruce Levine with the scoop.

You can argue that the Cubs should have already done this, but as Levine points out the addition of more protective netting down the foul lines might be more complicated to do at Wrigley Field. So, much more probably goes into that planning.

As for fans who still complain about the possibility of more netting, they’ll get over it. Everyone hates change at first, but guess what, you get used to it.
