One of the Biggest Chicago Bears 2019 Games Just Gained Clarity

-

The Chicago Bears 2019 schedule is largely set in stone. It features six playoff teams from last season including three who reached at least the conference championship. It’s proof of the old saying. Want to be the best? You’ll have to beat the best. However, one of their matchups towards the end of the year against one such team was left with a significant degree of uncertainty.

The Kansas City Chiefs would pay a visit to Soldier Field towards the end of the year. One of their best players, wide receiver Tyreek Hill, has been under investigation for potential domestic violence and child abuse by the NFL. If they found significant enough evidence, he could’ve received a large suspension that may have impacted the matchup with the Bears.

After weeks of interviewing and investigation, the league reached their conclusion. Hill would not receive any punishment in the form of fines or a suspension. A decision that has caused a firestorm of criticism given Hill’s history of domestic violence in the past.

Chicago Bears now can form their long-term plans

The game itself won’t be of consequence for months, but now the Bears at least know the odds of them facing a fully-armed Patrick Mahomes are that much greater. The reigning league MVP had so much success in 2018 due to having the lethal speed of Hill at his disposal. Had the receiver been unavailable, it would’ve made the job for the Bears defense a little easier.

Perhaps injuries or another incident may yet change the situation, but as of this moment, Hill is cleared to play. The Bears will have to make sure they have a good game plan ready for him. Regardless of his personality off the field, the guy is dynamite with the ball in his hands. A cold Soldier Field alone is unlikely to stop him. It will take a collective effort from that secondary to contain him.
