Alec Mills gave up three runs after getting the first two outs in the first inning and it seemed like it was going to be another miserable loss to the Reds. However, the Cubs came back with a Robel Garcia two-run homer and Kris Bryant tied it with a solo bomb in the sixth. Mills ended up with a quality start and then in the 10th inning Kyle Schwarber walked it off with an opposite field dinger to left.

That was Schwarber’s first career walk-off hit of any kind and he’s now hit a home run in three straight games.

The Cubs have a 2.5 game lead over the Brewers in the division.
