Hendricks Is Back And The Cubs Finally Made A Big Move…Wait, Actually No They Didn’t

-

Kyle Hendricks has officially been activated from the injured list and will make Tuesday night’s start against the Pirates. The Cubs’ righty last started on June 14, against the Dodgers, going down with shoulder inflammation.

The Cubs also optioned rookie Adbert Alzolay. However, it’s no time to panic about the Cubs giving up on the young right-hander, even after his brutal outing against the Pirates.

Anyway, along with Alzolay, Rown Wick was sent back down to make room for Hendricks and the big move…Randy Rosario.

Real sense of urgency being shown by the Cubs. *big eye roll* in case you missed the sarcasm.

Here’s Tuesday night’s lineup.

At least the news on Cole Hamels is good.

In 2017, Hamels missed two months with a right oblique strain. Doesn’t seem to be too serious this time around, but the veteran starter won’t rush back either. Still, encouraging news.
