With two outs in the fifth inning, Kris Bryant floated a double down the left field line and after the ball hit a security guard Anthony Rizzo raced around third base only to be thrown out at home.

Cardinals players kind of just stood around after the ball hit the security guard, but the third base umpire didn’t rule the play dead. Rizzo slowed down as he approached third base, but then he started to run again.

Cardinals left fielder Marcell Ozuna wasn’t in a rush to get to the ball, but once he saw the play was still live he picked up the ball and threw home. Rizzo may be the greatest leadoff hitter of all-time, but he’s certainly not the best base runner or the fastest.

Seems like Rizzo’s getting thrown out at home once a week as of late.
