Hey, remember Manny Bañuelos? Of course you do. You maybe thought he was going to be decent and had two good starts against the Orioles, but then he came crashing back to Earth, giving up 19 earned runs (8 HOME RUNS) in 11 innings during his next three starts. He was then placed on the injured list with a shoulder issue.
Well guess what, Bañuelos is coming back!
After Friday’s 11-4 loss to the Twins, the White Sox optioned right-hander Thyago Vieira back to Triple-A.
And Bañuelos is expected to be the pitcher who will take Vieira’s spot and make the start Saturday in Minnesota.
The Twins have played 50 games this season and lead MLB with 101 home runs. Bañuelos has allowed eight home runs in his last 11 innings.
Yay, Manny’s back.
