Aaron Rodgers Fails to Chug Full Beer at Bucks Game and Got Roasted For It

-

Aaron Rodgers is one of the greatest quarterbacks of this generation. He’ll be in the Hall of Fame one day. However, that doesn’t mean he’s the king of other venture. A big Wisconsin tradition? Being able to chug a beer. The opportunity came up last night at the highly anticipated Game 5 matchup between the Milwaukee Bucks and Toronto Raptors.

Don’t forget that Rodgers is part owner of the Bucks, so he had a personal responsibility to represent. His left tackle David Bakhtiari certainly didn’t disappoint when the time came. The cameras zoomed on him, signaling it was time to chug his beer and the big offensive lineman crushed it. Everybody knew what was coming next.

Rodgers appeared on screen. A good sport, he gave it a shot. Unfortunately, the man showed his California roots by not only draining the cup slowly but failing to finish it at all.

Aaron Rodgers got blasted for his weak chug attempt

While the chug itself was entertaining, the best part was seeing the reaction of people on social media. More than a few were indignant that the two-time MVP couldn’t at least finish the beer. A requirement of true beer chugging. As a result, the comments flew in and they were predictably hilarious.

One could argue Rodgers’ inability to step up to the plate gave his team some bad mojo. The Bucks ended up losing 105-99, allowing the Raptors to take a 3-2 series lead. It was also the first home loss by either team in the series. Maybe there’s a lesson to be taken from this and he’ll properly slam the beer next time.
