Willson Contreras is back to hitting long home runs and Cubs fans are extremely here for the early season air show. He blasted two home runs against the Angels on Friday, both landing on Waveland beyond the left-field bleachers.

Contreras now has five home runs this season after having an awful second half in 2018. After last year’s All-Star Game, Contreras only had 11 extra base hits in 180 at-bats, with eight doubles and three home runs.

So, let’s hope this power trend continues and it’s a safe bet it will, as Contreras really only had those bad three months in 2018 so far in his young MLB career.

The Cubs took advantage of the wind blowing out at Wrigley and added a pair of dingers to the multi-homer game by Contreras, as Anthony Rizzo and David Bote each homered.

Rizzo’s went 472 feet, the farthest in his career.

That was Bote’s first home run of 2019.
