Potential Bears Draft Target Sees Himself as Another Tarik Cohen

-

Considering what he’s done the past two years to opposing defenses, one can understand if NFL teams are hoping to find the next Tarik Cohen. The running back has 3,177 all-purpose yards and 12 touchdowns in two seasons. He is one of the more feared weapons at his position in the NFL. So would the Chicago Bears draft another one of him?

One prospect thinks that may be the opportunity in front of them. Penn State running back Miles Sanders has positioned himself as one of the top players at his position in the upcoming draft. While not expected to go in the 1st round, many believe he’ll be one of the first off the board. It’s only a matter of when.

Sander appeared on Good Morning Football on NFL Network to talk about his expectations for the NFL. When asked about who he models his game after, he mentioned two familiar names.

Kamara and Cohen are two backs known for their versatility. They have the balance and strength to run the ball well but are particularly dangerous as receivers out of the backfield. Their biggest strengths are their quickness and agility. Is Sanders on their level?

To an extent, yes. He certainly has a quickness to his style that is attractive and he appeared solid in the passing game whenever used. The sample size though is small, having started just one year in college. It is difficult to know if he can deliver like that on a consistent basis.

One thing is for sure. If he is like Cohen and the Bears somehow get him? Defenses may not enjoy playing them for the next few years.
