Kyle Hendricks just wasn’t himself during his first three starts of the season. He allowed 24 hits, five walks and three home runs with only 10 strikeouts in 13.1 innings. He wasn’t locating his pitches, leaving them up in the zone and hitters were punishing Hendricks. But Friday it was a vintage Hendricks start, making the Diamondbacks look bad multiple times as they were out in front on his change up and taking called third strikes on his two-seam fastball.

Hendricks struck out 11 and only gave up three hits and two walks in seven scoreless innings, as the Cubs won their fourth game in a row 5-1.

And boy was Hendricks throwing some filth.

And he even threw a nice curveball too.

This two-seamer freezing the hitter.

What a great sight to see.
