There’s more rain in the forecast tonight at Wrigley Field, but hopefully it stays away long enough for the Cubs to finish up their series finale against the Pirates. To give themselves a bigger window, the Cubs have decided to move up the start time for Thursday’s game.

Originally scheduled for a 7:05 p.m. first pitch, the Cubs moved up the start time to 6: 35 p.m. Gates will open at the same time 5:05 p.m.

Jose Quintana will make his second start of the season, while Victor Caratini gets the nod at catcher for Willson Contreras.

It’s been a weird start for the Cubs at 3-8, but the bullpen is slowly getting better and for the first time ever Jason Heyward is actually the most valuable player on the team.

Heyward is currently tied with Javier Baez for the team lead in home runs at four.
