Yu Darvish was one strike away from finishing the fifth inning of Tuesday’s game against the Mariners when he was taken out with an apparent hand injury.
Javier Baez and Willson Contreras motioned over to the dugout and after a brief conference on the mound, Darvish was pulled from the game.
Hottovy and trainer coming out to check on Darvish after Javy and Contreras gesture for someone to come to the mound. Looked like he was looking at his fingers, and now he's exiting the game.

Hopefully it’s nothing big and it didn’t seem like it was either.

Yu's body language was good coming off the mound. Fist bumps all around. Hugged Contreras before walking off. Doesn't seem serious, but stay tuned.

Didn't seem like a huge issue, but hopefully we'll know more soon. Darvish gave Willy a hug before he walked off mound and was giving fist bumps.

Maybe it’s just a blister.
Darvish has looked great this spring training, coming back after only making eight starts in 2018. We’ll keep you updated.
UPDATE
It’s a blister on Darvish’s right ring finger.
