The Cubs center fielder is hoping to finally emerge as an every day starter in 2019, and it does look like he’ll get the majority of playing time in center to start the season. Despite a low OBP for a leadoff hitter, Joe Maddon will most likely get Almora at the number one slot in the lineup to begin the season too. Although there will be several different looks to the lineup throughout the season.
Despite the bad start for Giolito, he then struck out the next four Cubs batters. Yup, four batters, as Ian Happ reached on a wild pitch after striking out.
