If you have no clue what Copa de la Diversión is, here’s some background on the festivities happening down in the minors for the second straight year.
Via MiLB.com.
“Copa de la Diversión,” or “Fun Cup,” is a season-long event series specifically designed to embrace the culture and values that resonate most with participating teams’ local U.S. Hispanic/Latino communities.
The 2019 season will see 72 teams transform their brands to join in Copa’s mission to authentically connect MiLB teams with their diverse communities, and embrace and celebrate the culture and values that resonate most with Latinx fans nationwide.
On Monday, the team names, logos and uniforms were unveiled and they are amazing. The Cubs and White Sox are both having a few of their minor league affiliates participating in Copa de la Diversion, but the Brewers’ Triple-A team might just have the best name.
