White Sox Sign Kelvin Herrera To A 2 Year Deal

-

With all the focus being on whether or not the White Sox will sign Manny Machado or Bryce Harper, it can admittedly be difficult to put thoughts elsewhere. The team would still have some decent sized holes to fill even with the addition of one of the 2 aforementioned superstars. That’s probably why Rick Hahn went out and signed Kelvin Herrera to a 2 year deal worth 18 million along with a 3rd year option.

Pairing Herrera with Alex Colome at the back of the bullpen gives Chicago a formidable 1-2 punch to work with in late game situations.

The hard throwing righty brings plenty of playoff experience with him as well. The former National will fit in nicely on the South Side. And with Adam Ottavino still out there for the taking, don’t be surprised if Rick Hahn isn’t done improving the bullpen.
