Forget about whether the White Sox have offered Manny Machado seven or eight years, all we want to know is if he’ll accept and when. Well, we finally have a concrete report on Machado’s decision with the White Sox that’s coming out of Los Angeles.
Is Machado actually going to take the offer from the White Sox? According to Michael Duarte the answer is yes and it could be this week!
A rival MLB executive believes Manny Machado is heavily leaning towards accepting the offer from the Chicago White Sox. Deal could be announced this week or could still fall through. #MachadoMonday #WhiteSox

Wait, are you kidding me.
“Deal could be announced this week or could still fall through.”
Great. Thanks for the biggest piece of shit insight, Michael. Hey, at least he’ll be correct either way. It seems as though this offseason has broken the brains of baseball reporters because this is the same type of garbage we’ve been seeing since December.
One day the White Sox are considered favorites, the next they’re not even being considered. Back and forth with no real information being produced.
Right now all we have is Machado’s camp trying to drive up the price and the White Sox trying to not out-bid themselves and this little game is being played throughout the media.
ESPN’s Jeff Passan has reported that the White Sox have offered Machado an eight-year contract, while Hector Gomez added that it’s worth $250 million.
Meanwhile, every other MLB reporter who’s addressed the White Sox and Machado are all saying the team has only offered seven years.
Despite reports of 8 year offer @JeffPassan ,the White Sox have not bid against themselves on long term Machado deal. Seven years has been the max offered . AAV likely between $25 and $30 mil.

The Chicago #Whitesox, who made their 7-year offer to Manny Machado nearly two weeks ago, have not revised their offer as of this morning. So far, still have not budged in their stance.

Per source, the #WhiteSox offer to free agent Manny Machado has not changed and is in fact for 7 years.

White Sox seven-year offer to Manny Machado has not changed, per source.

Am hearing Chisox have not changed their number original 7 year offer as of now. @scottmerkin and @BNightengale said this as well but earlier

I mean, if you’re going by the numbers game here, seems like one side is really concerned about making it known that the offer for Machado is only for seven years. But also, Manny needs to get his agent more cellphone numbers if he really wants to drive up his market.
Bruce Levine, Bob Nightengale, Jon Heyman, Scott Merkin, Daryl Van Schouwen all saying the #WhiteSox have only offered Manny Machado a 7-year deal.
Does Manny's agent only have Jeff Passan's cellphone number?

The truth? Who knows. Maybe it’s somewhere in the middle, but it’s pretty easy to speculate that Machado’s camp definitely wants a bigger deal from anyone.
Or maybe they don’t. See, I can be right either way. Little trick I learned from Mikey D.
