The 2019 Cubs Convention starts Friday and now we know who’s going to be showing up. Unless there’s a huge surprise unveiled during the weekend, fans are going to be pretty grumpy with an offseason that’s produced Daniel Descalso after Theo Epstein said the offense needed to be fixed after the 2018 season.

Anyway, despite almost all your favorite Cubs listed to appear during the weekend there are a few who won’t be there. The biggest names not scheduled to be attendance are Anthony Rizzo and Jon Lester. Tyler Chatwood also won’t be there and neither will Addison Russell, who can’t be at the convention because he’s serving his 40-game suspension for violating MLB’s domestic violence policy.

However, every other big name Cubs player will be in Chicago this upcoming weekend.

Pretty sure Lester has a charity golf outing, while Anthony Rizzo is most likely on his honeymoon and well, there’s Chatwood. Probably don’t want him to hear more boos from Cubs fans.

The Cubs also announced that they’ve released more passes for the convention.

Sure, we’ll buy them, just sign Bryce Harper first.
