Analyzing Anthony Davis Chances of Landing in Chicago

-

This isn’t happening. The only reason I decided to even blog about it is that questions I’ve received on Twitter.

Anthony Davis is a generational talent, we all know this. Anthony was drafted as the first pick in the 2012 NBA Draft and has been an impressive talent since then. Anyways, here is a rumored deal to get this done.

Bleacher Report’s Bulls potential trade package for Anthony Davis:

New Orleans Pelicans Receive: Wendell Carter Jr., Chandler Hutchison, Jabari Parker, 2019 first-round pick (unprotected), 2020 second-round pick (from Memphis, via Chicago), 2021 first-round pick (top-five protection).

Chicago Bulls Receive: Ian Clark (must consent to trade), Anthony Davis, Tim Frazier.

So, where I sit, I most definitely need Anthony to agree to an extension before the Bulls do anything. Right?  Wendell Carter Jr. was the 7th pick in this years draft, Chandler Hutchison was the 22nd and the Bulls 2019 pick could very well be the number one pick. That could be Zion, Ja Morant, Reddish, Langford, or Little. That’s a lot of talent to give up without a commitment from Davis to stay with the Bulls.

Though as I sit here and break down this rumor I cannot help but think he’s going to the Lakers. They have a great trade package as well, and it’s rumored Davis wants to start signing the 1+1 contracts.

Believe it or not, I am not itching to trade everything for A.D. If he does come here I want him to be surrounded by talent that can help him win ball games. If the Bulls trade everything for him he will be in the same situation he is in N.O right now.

Just sit back and relax and wait for another Woj Bomb. The Lakers are super interested and you all knew it wouldn’t be long until LeBron had another superstar join him.
