Fans Literally Cut a Soldier Field Seat Out to Steal it After Bears Win

-

Chicago Bears fans can be just as crazy as other people sometimes. This town has been deprived of a winner for a long time so there was no telling what they might do if the team managed to knock off the Green Bay Packers to clinch the division title. Mostly it was the rapturous celebrating as expected. However, it seems that wasn’t enough for a few of the more industrious gentlemen in attendance.

Realizing this is a landmark moment in Bears history, one guy decided to take things to the next level by cutting his seat out of the Soldier Field stands and stuffing it under his jersey. The irony that it was a Brandon Marshall jersey was not lost on anybody. It will be interesting to see how the organization responds if and when the identification of these men are discovered.

The last notable time something like this happened was way back in 1995. Cleveland Browns fans cut seats out of the stadium as the team was preparing to leave for Baltimore. So it’s safe to say the circumstances are a tad bit different this time around. Either way here’s hoping the guy doesn’t end up in jail. Or worse banned from attending another game.

Subscribe to the BFR podcast and ride shotgun with Dave and Ficky as they break down Bears football like nobody else.

If he does get away with it, he’ll have a hell of a story to tell his children and grandchildren. Especially if the Bears are able to finish this season strong. Even so, considering it was the first win in Chicago against the Packers for them in eight years? One can understand the need for sentimentality.
