Bears LT Charles Leno Celebrated NFC North Title in Best Way Possible

-

Most people expected the Chicago Bears to celebrate their division-clinching win over the Green Bay Packers in their usual fashion. A huge Club Dub party in the locker room with music, lights, and dancing. Oh, there was plenty of that, but at least one man decided he wanted to make the moment a little extra special. That man was Charles Leno.

The Bears left tackle has been really good in 2018. Though not a star his solid blocking is a big reason the offense has experienced a strong rebound from difficult prior years. This victory is extra sweet for him. He arrived in 2014 remember and has experienced nothing but losing seasons over that time. This is his first winning season as a professional.

Is there a better way to make it memorable? Yes, and he found a great one.

Nicely done, big man. Leno had a good game against the Packers, helping Mitch Trubisky finish with 235 yards passing and two touchdowns. In fact, Leno has only allowed one sack overall in 2018. That’s a tremendous campaign for a guy who was a forgotten 7th round pick. GM Ryan Pace made the right call locking him up to an extension last season.

The Bears have two games left to play and still plenty to aim for including the #3 seed in the playoffs. A win next week over San Francisco would clinch that, assuring them at least one home game when the postseason begins in January. Leno will soon have a wife instead of a girlfriend to help him enjoy it.
