Aqib Talib was one of the best cornerbacks in football for a considerable stretch the past few years. Though he’s struggled with injuries recently, he expects to suit up for a big Sunday night game against the Chicago Bears that could be a potential playoff preview if things go as expected. An interesting question worth asking is who the Los Angeles Rams defense are the wariest of.
There are a number of options, which is saying something given the Bears’ recent history. It could be Allen Robinson who’s having a great year and emerging as a #1 target as hoped. Or maybe it’s Tarik Cohen with all the versatility he presents. Maybe the versatile Trey Burton or deep threat Taylor Gabriel. Those are some viable options.
However, it would appear Talib has his attention elsewhere on none other than Mitch Trubisky. The Bears quarterback is set to return after two weeks off nursing an injury to his throwing shoulder. This development is something the Rams are monitoring. Why? Talib explained what makes facing Trubisky a bigger challenge than some other quarterbacks.
Rams CB Aqib Talib said Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky can present "the Russell Wilson effect" or "the Cam Newton effect." Or both. "He’s kind of like both of them put together."

Aqib Talib Mitch Trubisky comparison is warranted, like it or not
Russell Wilson is a great passer and has proven he can be lethal from the pocket. Amazingly it’s not that which scares defenses so much. It’s his mobility. There have been few quarterbacks in history with a greater natural instinct for running to escape trouble or running to pick up yards than Wilson. He does it all the time.
Bears fans have learned fast that Trubisky has that same quality. He can throw the ball accurately and all that, but the one aspect that drives defenses crazy is how he’s able to escape trouble and gash them with his legs. The Bears running game certainly missed that element the past two weeks and was a big factor in the offense unable to find a rhythm.
One can understand why the Rams are a bit nervous about facing him. Mobile quarterbacks of this type have had success against them consistently all year. Wilson put up 31 points on them twice. Aaron Rodgers put up 27 (with a bad knee). Patrick Mahomes hung 51 on them. Three of those four games were at home too. This one will be at Soldier Field without the benefit of crowd noise.
Things could get interesting if what Talib says comes to pass.
