Rebuilding Or Not, Last Night Was Unacceptable

The Bulls had a rare opportunity to play on national television last night and things started off great.

Jabari Parker came out of the gates hot against his former team, scoring early and often in route to a team-high 21 points.

The Bulls took an 18 point lead with them into the locker room at halftime and led by as many as 22 points…

22 point lead with 1:30 left in the first half…. and the Bulls lost the game by 19 points.

They gave up 46 third-quarter points. FORTY. SIX.

A 41 point swing in just over 25 minutes. I know the Bulls are shorthanded. I know the Bulls aren’t ready yet to win consistently even at full strength. But to lose in the fashion that the Bulls lost last night is indefensible.

Frustration has already been building in the locker room, last night’s debacle won’t help. It also doesn’t get any easier in the near future, as the Toronto Raptors come to town tonight.

The Bulls need to get healthy because nights like last night can’t keep happening.
