Hey, if Javier Baez is going to hit 420-foot bombs every time he accidentally destroys a bathroom, then so be it.
During Monday night’s 5-1 Cubs win, Baez was pretty frustrated after his first two at bats against Patrick Corbin. The lefty struck out Baez with a 3-2 slider in the first inning, when the Cubs had two runners on and only one out and then Baez grounded out to the shortstop in the fourth inning.
The frustration built up and that’s when Baez accidentally destroyed a bathroom in the Cubs dugout.
co-worker went down to the Cubs dugout during the 5th, saw this and asked security who did that. Javy Baez took a bat and bashed the mirror and sink LMFAOOOOOOOOO pic.twitter.com/pyN2nsYVeW

Here’s why I keep saying accidentally. It’s not like Baez went in there and started tacking his hacks at the sink and mirror.
Via The Athletic.
After he grounded out to shortstop in the fourth inning, he damaged the bathroom in the hallway that leads from the visiting dugout to the clubhouse, knocking off a chunk of the sink and smashing part of the mirror.
“Yeah, but it wasn’t on purpose,” Báez said. “I actually slammed the door and I threw my bat. The bat was broken and I threw it to the wall and it bounced and it hit the mirror. If it was on purpose, that whole sink was going to be gone. It’s all right. It worked. I hit a home run.”
Well, that wasn’t on purpose, but this was.

Here’s Baez talking about his approach last night.

Oh and calm down, I’m sure Baez will take care of the new sink and mirror for the bathroom.
