The Chicago Cubs had a terrible 7-0 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers at Wrigley Field on Tuesday, but there was one badass moment that you can at least smile at if you’re a Cubs fan.

In the sixth inning Ben Zobrist was called out on strikes and surprise, the home plate umpire got the call wrong. Zobrist immediately argued with Phil Cuzzi and manager Joe Maddon came out to defend his player. Maddon was eventually ejected. Zobrist, despite being extremely animated toward the umpire, stayed in the game.

Then, after the bottom of the eighth inning ended, Zobrist walked over from the on-deck circle and had one last chat with Cuzzi, this time telling him, “that’s why we want an electronic strike zone,” which promptly got him ejected.

This was the first time Zobrist has ever been ejected.

Zobrist talked about it after the game.

This happened exactly one week ago.

Ben Zobrist, one of the most mild-tempered players in any sport, had enough of the bullshit and said what every player in MLB is thinking.
