Chicago Bears Orange Jerseys Will Be Part of Unique Twist

-

The NFL is always trying new things to make the game more watchable. Among them is the ongoing evolution of their uniforms. Every year they allow teams to make certain modifications to what their players wear during certain weeks of the year. One game might be throwbacks. Another could be color rush. It’s been awhile but now the league is bringing back alternate jerseys. For the Chicago Bears, it’s their orange colors.

The last time the Bears wore a similar jersey was back in 2011. After that, the 1940s throwbacks became the dominant colors whenever the team did alternate styles. Since then a certain sect of fans has clamored for a return of the orange wave. At last their wish is coming true. The team announced that they will wear the alternates during two games this coming season.

However, it’s going to come with a unique twist. In addition to a home game against the Vikings at Soldier Field, the Bears will also wear those jerseys on a road game as well.

It’s not unusual for the Bears to wear their home uniforms on the road, but those are always their navy blue colors. This would mark the first time in recorded uniform history since way back in the early 20th century that they wore orange in an opposing stadium. It’s rather fitting it will come against Miami, another team that has alternate orange jerseys.

Not only that, but the Bears will also don their throwback uniforms this season as well. It will be a cornucopia of different looks from this team. Maybe the added confusion will give them an advantage. If nothing else they will be fun to look at from an aesthetic point of view. If they start winning some games? Those jerseys will start selling like hot cakes.
