The St. Louis Cardinals are so much fun. Well, funny anyway and that includes their announcers. Whoever it is, you can guarantee at least one hilarious moment from a Cardinals announcer every year. Mike Shannon talking about a blow job during Saturday’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks might not be the best we hear in 2018, but it’s still pretty damn funny.
It happened while Shannon was doing an ad read for the Third Degree Glass Factory in St. Louis and well Shannon gave us this gem.
“Yes sir, if you go to ExploreStLouis.com, they’re going to tell you about a blow job. That’s right, [inaudible] will appreciate the local hand-made works of art at the Third Degree Glass Factory. Glass-blowing demonstrated, or create shop and entertain in their unique event space.”

The Cardinals tried to play it off as a misunderstanding, blaming the amount of ad reads the radio announcers have to do and that once in a while they’ll stumble.
But you know what, Mike Shannon should be applauded for this technique, really changing the ad read game. What a lead in, “Yes sir, if you go to ExploreStLouis.com, they’re going to tell you about a blow job.”
I bet every dude listening to the game started to pay closer attention to the ad after that.
