Survive And Advance! Loyola-Chicago Moves On To The Final Four!

-

I think I can speak for every NCAA basketball fan in 2018 when I say this — my bracket is absolutely f*cked. I’d normally be relatively upset for donating a good amount of money to enter a bracket pool, only to see it get pissed away, but this year I could really care less about my lost money.

Why is that you ask?

Because Loyola-Chicago has absolutely captivated the entire nation with their improbable run to the Final Four. The 11th-seeded Ramblers pulled yet another upset tonight when they knocked off the 9th-seeded Kansas State Wildcats 78 to 62 to become the first team in the 2018 NCAA tournament to advance to the Final Four. The trip to the Final Four will be their first since they won the NCAA championship back in 1963 and the first time an eleven seed has reached the Final Four since VCU did it in 2011. The Ramblers were led by Senior Ben Richardson who poured in a game high 23 points which was the result of the team playing unbelievably efficient basketball on both ends of the floor.

They will face the winner of the Michigan/Florida State game which will be played later on tonight and I can’t believe I’m saying this, but at this point, I can’t find myself picking against Loyola. Their brand of team basketball is fun to watch in an age where we see players always trying to go one-on-one, the Ramblers are very “Hoosier-esque” with their brand of team ball.

The Ramblers will play on March 31st and you can bet your sweet ass that I’ll have one of those weird looking Harry Potter scarfs on that night.

I’m also not mad the nation gets another solid week of Sister Jean.
