The Cubs unveiled their 2018 holiday uniform collection yesterday and as always, they are ridiculously awesome. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll never get sick of seeing the team’s good ol’ pinstripes but there’s something about a limited edition uniform that just does it for me.
The five-part collection includes special jerseys the team will wear on Jackie Robinson Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Memorial Day weekend and Independence Day weekend. The best part about this collection is that the MLB will donate its licensed uniform royalties to charitable initiatives for each of the holiday games.
Since the MLB began this cool tradition, I’ve always been biased to the Fourth of July uniforms that the Cubs wear because who WOULDN’T want to see the stars and stripes incorporated into your favorite team’s uniform?! Although seeing the Cubs incorporate pink into their traditional red and blue uniforms is a pretty cool thing as well and let’s face it, moms are pretty much the best people on Earth.
