In case you’ve been under a rock for the past 24-hours, Cubs great Jake Arrieta has decided to move on from the North Side. The former Cy Young winner inked a 3-year, $75 million dollar contract with the Philadelphia Phillies which officially turned the page on Arrieta’s time as a member of the Chicago Cubs.

There has been an outpouring of support and thank you videos from Cubs fans expressing their gratitude for Arrieta’s five years in Chicago all over social media. None of those videos, however, come close to what 23-year-old Austin Ploch created.

Austin is a artist who currently resides in Scottsdale, Arizona but was born and raised a Cubs fan about an hour and a half southwest of Chicago. He was at Arrieta’s first start with the Cubs and immediately became a fan of Jake’s. Arrieta must have been a fan of Austin’s as well since he asked Austin to personally paint him some other pieces to hang at ‘Casa de Arrieta.’

As a personal thank you to Arrieta, Austin created a time-lapse video which is part painting and part highlight clips. I don’t care how many Arrieta tribute videos you show me — this is the best of them all.
