Yesterday’s Bulls-Nets Game Was An Excellent Tank Off

-

The Bulls entered yesterday’s game in Brooklyn 1.5 games ahead of the Nets. They were determined to get back on the plane just half a game up. Despite the Nets best efforts, the Bulls succeeded and reached their goal.

For starters, Zach Lavine did not play in advance of the Bulls second consecutive game tonight in Charlotte, as the team is still holding him out of back-to-backs.

Secondly, Robin Lopez received his 3rd consecutive DNP-CD. Although Justin Holiday returned to the lineup, he scored just four points in 35 minutes.

Thirdly, Cristiano Felicio played 30 minutes. He posted a -28.

Fourthly, Cam Payne got 10 shots up in just 18 minutes. He made one of them.

The hilarity of errors was a special kind of fun-bad, and thankfully our twitter friend @_MarcusD2_  chronicled several moments from the game for all of us to enjoy.

Also of note: Lauri Markkanen was brutally posterized last night. I will not be including the video because posting the murder of a stranger on the internet seems unethical. Hopefully Lauri learns from his mistake and instead of trying to take a charge, he either gets out of the way or tries to contest the shot at the rim next time. You don’t need to impress your high school or college coach anymore with charge-taking nonsense. If you want to get a stop, use your 7-foot frame, length, and athleticism to make a basketball play and challenge the shot.

Anyway, that about sums up last night’s Bulls game, and we might be in for much of the same tonight.
