Former Dolphins Player Makes Threat To Shoot Up School And Kill Former Teammate

-

People have been trying to dismiss the mass shooter epidemic sweeping the U.S. for years now. It’s not going away. In fact, it’s getting worse. The Parkland tragedy that took the lives of 17 people is barely in the rearview mirror and already it looked like another tragedy was about to unfold. This one involving for Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Jonathan Martin.

Most remember him as the infamous victim of the bullying scandal that rocked the Dolphins involving former guard Richie Incognito. He was accused of picking on Martin in the locker room, calling racial slurs among other things. Martin appeared unable to handle such abuse and found his way out of the NFL not too long after that. It would seem he’s no stranger to this sort of treatment and it’s festered in his psyche for a long time.

That reality took a dark turn when Martin put up a disturbing Instagram post. It called out his former teammate as well as his high school with a simple statement on how bully often leads cowardly people to take one of two actions. They either kill themselves or kill a bunch of people.

Jonathan Martin was quickly arrested after post went viral

Needless to say, there were several people instantly concerned about the post. Knowing how the mass shooter issue hasn’t been dealt with, many fear it’s emboldening others to seek their own revenge. Martin is a bullying victim and one with lots of money. Enough to acquire the needed tools to go on a rampage of his own. The authorities were made aware of the situation and they acted swiftly.

It’s not surprising this happened. Martin telegraphed himself with that post, and with law enforcement on high alert, there was no way they ignore such a blatant threat. It’s a welcome relief to know he’s off the streets. Hopefully, they can get him some sorely-needed help.
