Jim Bob Cooter: A 2018 Chicago Bears Head Coach Profile

-

John Fox is a desperate man these days. He’s 62-years old and hasn’t yet posted a winning record with the Chicago Bears after two seasons. His 2017 run isn’t looking much better after a 1-3 start. This has forced him to make some changes. For one he’s starting a rookie at quarterback. That marks the first time it’s happened under his watch in seven years.

He’s even starting to grow out a beard after 14 years of being clean shaven. He’s no doubt pulling out all the stops to rescue what appears to be his last stand as an NFL head coach. A total of 12 games remain this season. If he fails to win enough of them the odds are he won’t survive to another year.

That’s why the search has continued among fans for his possible replacement. One of the most popular names making the rounds of late is a man with the best name in the NFL right now. That’s Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter. What would the Bears be getting if they tabbed him to take over command control?
