No Kris Bryant in the Chicago Cubs lineup? No worries, Javier Baez is here to bless us all with yet another nonchalant, awesome tag to catch a runner trying to steal a base. Oh and Willson Contreras got to show off his rocket arm too.
Not exactly sure what Tampa Bay Rays center fielder Kevin Kiermaier was thinking, but I’d say it’s bad strategy to try and steal third base with two outs in the inning, while there’s a left-handed hitter at the plate and Willson Contreras catching with Baez at third.
Anyway, the result was beautiful. Orgasmic really. Over the top reaction? No. Here’s some nastiness you won’t be ashamed of watching.
