First of all, hats off to John Lackey because I’m going to say about 99 percent of Chicago Cubs fans couldn’t wait to get rid of him, myself included, and although it hasn’t been pretty the righty has been good enough to win games for the past month. That continued on Wednesday against the Cincinnati Reds and hell, he even made us laugh too when he picked up his first career stolen base.
So, not only did Lackey escape from all sorts of trouble in the first two innings, he also got a hit in the fourth and then showed off his wheels.

And then almost immediately made a dumb out at second.

Ben Zobrist walked on a 3-2 pitch, but Lackey got off second base way to far that led to his eventual out.
And then he got tagged out at 2nd after a walk 😂 😂 😂 #Cubs pic.twitter.com/j2U5LdUAwG

Lackey was probably tired of standing around on the bases anyway.
BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE!

Lackey can do it all.
