The Cincinnati Reds had the bases loaded with no outs in the top of the first inning against John Lackey, but thanks to Kyle Schwarber’s arm the Chicago Cubs were only down 1-0 heading into the bottom half of the inning. That’s when the Cubs loaded the bases themselves against Homer Bailey with no outs, bringing up Anthony Rizzo to the plate.
And then BOOM! First pitch swinging, Rizzo launched his 28th home run of the season, and his third career grand slam.
