White Sox Fans Create Hilarious Petition To Wear Throwback Jerseys Chris Sale Cut Up Last Season

-

Chris Sale is arguable one of the most talented pitchers to ever play on the South-Side, but while he is widely known for his excellent fastball and breaking pitches, he became infamous in Chicago sports history on June 23rd of 2016.

Sale, who was reportedly frustrated with the clubs lack of direction, decided he did not want he or his club wearing the 1976 throwback jerseys. So he went into the team locker room and slashed and tore the uniforms with a pair of scissors.

Just a quick refresher.

Well, it seems that a group of White Sox fans are trying to get their White Sox to wear those same throwback uni’s today against Chris Sale and the Red Sox. The petition, started originally by the White Sox Twitter account Sox On 35th, has already received close to 500 signatures. While no word from the White Sox on what uniforms they are expected to wear, but I think it’s safe to assume it won’t be anything from 1976.

Expect a fun, emotional, game at Guaranteed Rate Park as the former ace in Sale, and current ace in Jose Quintana battle tonight…and hopefully everyone’s uniforms stay intact.
